Jeremy Ray

Jeremy lost his job in a local manufacturing company in 2009. He wanted to go to Northwestern Michigan College, but didn't have the academic skills to get started. His math skills were at the 4th grade level, but the Adult Education Learning Labs at Northwest Michigan Works! helped him increase those skills so he was able to move on to college. He is now attending NMC in the Computer Information Technology program. "It's your future, and you should grab ahold of it and go forward and not fear. You should be helping yourself and people are here to help you."
Campus Visits
Campus visits offer an opportunity to visit a college and learn more about programs, people, and campus life.
The visits include presentations by student services staff, faculty and current students about programs, admissions and financial aid, supportive services and the experience of being a student. Tours of facilities, a meal, and time for questions and informal interactions with presenters are also included.
